BEHEMOTH SERIES

The true meaning behind the Behemoth in my books is more than simple physical size and strength, both of which my Behemoth has in abundance.  It is also a presence of what is good, a presence of life, and of love.  These books are designed to send a definitive message to their readers, and that is to love and protect your fellow man, to do the right thing, and to serve humanity, especially those who are less fortunate than yourself.  The Arthurian legends portray the creation of a prestigious club, a club of warriors, all of whom are the “good guys,” who serve and protect the weak.  As a high school English teacher for over 20 years and an avid fan and student of the Arthurian legends, I have always been fascinated by the idea of a society of heroes, people who stand up for what’s right and protect the weak and underprivileged.  Arthur’s knights were an exclusive group, but why can’t the entire world embrace an attitude of service to others?  We live in such a materialistic world where so many people think, “I’m gonna get mine first.”  We need to think of other people first, and that’s what this series is about.

Spawn of the Behemoth

Fourth Book in the Behemoth Series

When his friend Einar discovers that Jim Ramson's DNA has properties that not only can heal and regenerate dead nerve cells but give recipients super powers as well, a new threat is unleashed on civilization, one that only the Behemoth himself can combat as a young genius plots to use the Behemoth's own body chemistry against him to create monsters that even the Behemoth himself may not be able to stop.

Wrath of the Behemoth

Third Book in the Behemoth Series

Ray Ramson is the son of a former football star whose career ended prematurely with a horrendous injury. Ray is on track to be even better than his father when he befriends a young cancer patient. In the course of donating bone marrow and trying to help the boy survive, he develops cancer himself. However, his body turns the deadly cancer cells into a mutation that fights sickness and regenerates dying tissue, and, after nearly dying, he comes back stronger than ever, eventually marrying his high school sweetheart and fathering a child of his own. The child will be the largest baby ever born on Earth, and his genetic makeup is like nothing ever seen. He is light years ahead of the rest of mankind on the evolutionary continuum, and his body will change in unthinkable ways as he matures. He is "The Behemoth." In Wrath of the Behemoth, the third installment in the Behemoth series, Jim Ramson must deal with the crippling injury to his seemingly invincible father while taking on all comers in the mixed martial arts arena.

Behold Now the Behemoth

Second Book in the Behemoth Series

The Behemoth series is about a high school football player who is injured seriously during a game, and during his rehab at the local hospital, meets a young cancer patient whom he befriends. In trying to save the boy's life, he inadvertently is exposed to his chemo drugs and the boy's cancer-ridden blood cells, altering his DNA. He then becomes a sort of genetic freak, an evolutionary anomaly, capable of incredible physical feats. However, doctors find that he has all the symptoms and signs of terminal cancer, but through a blood transfusion from the same little boy he helped save, he overcomes the illness. He goes on to become the greatest player in the history of college and pro football, helping as many people as he can along the way, and after he marries his high school sweetheart, he fathers a child that is absolutely monstrous in size, with the same genetic makeup he has, but magnified exponentially. He will be the subject of the 2nd and all subsequent books in the series (two of which are already completed), and he is the true Behemoth referred to in the title.
